My Supermom

If the whole world were put into one scale, and my mother in the other, the whole world would kick the beam.

She is my inspiration, my best-friend, my strength, my guide, my teacher, my philosopher, my angel. She is the one whose heart always understands when I need a friend, whose strength and love guides me, who is always there to wipe my tears, feed me when I’m hungry, care for me, whose eyes stern when I need a lesson. She is the one to support me emotionally, morally. It’s her cultural & moral value that has made me who I’m today. She is my super woman, my everything, my mom-My Opu!!! J

Even Jewish proverb says, “Gods couldn’t be everywhere so he created mothers.” I agree. Mothers have such a huge heart you see! I gave her sleepless nights while inside her womb. I was the one to hurt her most, fight with her when she didn’t allow  me to drink coffee or have my favourite ice-cream, ask several questions if I didn’t see stars in the sky ,cry if she didn’t tell me bed-time stories, and what not!!!! Still she loves me, understands me, and protects me. I don’t know what I would do without her. I can’t imagine my life without my mom.

I have seen her struggle, face all those hardships, suffer in pain but still manage to put on brave face. Sometimes I feel God is so cruel towards her. Even though she deserves all the happiness in the world, she had to suffer. Let’s not recall those bitter experience and bad memories when we were not together. I know what it takes and how it feels to live without mom. That one year was like hell; even worse than hell. That was the turning point of my life. Now that we are together and back to normal as ‘Happy Family’, I feel blessed.

It’s Matatirtha Aunshi (Mother’s Day) in Nepal. I just want to say ‘Happy Matatirtha Aunshi Opu! I love you. I’ll never let you go again.  I can’t thank god enough for making you my mom and me your daughter. I don’t know if there’s such thing called rebirth. But if re-birth happens, I want to be born as your daughter every time I’m born.
